At our Jorja Healthcare, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive care for children of all ages, offering a range of essential services tailored to meet their unique healthcare needs. From warm and welcoming environments to experienced healthcare professionals, we prioritise creating a positive experience for both children and parents alike.

Ensuring your child’s well-being involves addressing every aspect of their health, including their ears, nose, and throat health (ENT). Led by our experienced paediatricians and ENT specialists, our paediatric ENT assessments comprehensively evaluate your child’s ENT system to detect potential issues early on and provide personalised recommendations for optimal care.

Our basic paediatric gastroenterology assessments offer an  evaluation of your child’s digestive health, focusing on key indicators such as bowel function, dietary habits, and overall gastrointestinal wellness.  From assessing symptoms of reflux or constipation to providing guidance on dietary adjustments, our team is committed to providing comprehensive care tailored to your child’s specific needs.

Our childhood and travel vaccine services prioritise your child’s health and well-being, offering a comprehensive range of vaccinations tailored to their age, health status, and travel itinerary. Led by our experienced paediatricians, our vaccination programme ensures that your child receives all recommended vaccines for their age, providing protection against common childhood illnesses such as measles, mumps, rubella, and more. Additionally, our clinic offers specialised travel vaccines to safeguard against diseases prevalent in specific destinations.

Our basic paediatric respiratory assessments evaluate your child’s respiratory health to ensure optimal lung function and overall well-being. Led by our team of skilled paediatricians, these assessments include thorough evaluations of breathing patterns, lung function, and respiratory symptoms such as coughing or wheezing. Whether assessing for common respiratory conditions like asthma, our goal is to provide comprehensive care that supports your child’s respiratory health and quality of life.

At our clinic, we offer comprehensive six-week baby checks to monitor your newborn’s growth, development, and overall health during this critical stage. Led by our experienced paediatricians, these checks encompass a thorough examination of your baby’s physical health, including weight gain, feeding patterns, and milestone development. Our goal is to ensure that your baby is thriving and meeting key milestones, while addressing any concerns or questions you may have as new parents.

How can EMTT help?

Energetic magnetic waves induce the formation of new blood vessels (a process known as neovascularisation). This improved blood supply in turn leads to an increase in cell proliferation and tissue regeneration in the affected area.

The process

EMTT is a non-invasive, outpatient treatment in which the instrument head is held over the targeted area. High energy magnetic pulses are then transmitted through the clothes, skin and tissues to reach the target area. The energy waves create a controlled trauma that causes an increase in blood circulation which triggers enzyme production in the affected area. This in turn promotes and accelerates healing and reduces pain. Depending on what’s being treated it generally involves a course of 4-6 sessions, with each session taking part five to ten days apart.

The process

We have endeavoured to make the process as straight forward and efficient as possible.

Frequently asked questions

You would not be suitable for shockwave therapy if:

  • You have a circulation or nerve disorder
  • The target area is infected
  • The target area has a bone condition
  • The target area has an open wound
  • You are pregnant
  • You are on blood thinning medication
  • You are under 18
  • You have metal pins/objects in the target area

Certain medications may be contraindicated such as, anticoagulants or corticosteroids but this would first need to be discussed with your clinician during your consultation.

Each shockwave therapy session at Living Room Health is around 20 minutes.

Typically a patient would be advised to have 4-6 shockwave therapy sessions, with each session 5-10 days apart or maximum benefits.

Shockwave therapy, is a non-invasive procedure which most people find painless. However, depending on the area being treated (if near bone) and the severity of your injury you might feel a little pain or discomfort in the treatment area during the procedure.

Most patients say it feels like small pulses against the skin. Your specialist may be able to adjust the way they use the shockwave device if your pain is significant.

You can book yourself directly in for your shockwave consultation and treatment. During the consultation, your clinician will assess you functionally and scan area using ultrasound to confirm a diagnosis and assess the tissue. In some cases if suspected stress fracture, an MRI scan may be required which we can do on site at an extra cost.

We advise you wear something loose fitting around the area you want treated so the clinician can have access. If not, we can provide a robe and somewhere to change. Some gel will need to be applied to the area for the procedure.

Yes, you will be able to walk after your shockwave therapy. Your clinician and physiotherapist will guide you with a graded rehabilitation program with the shockwave therapy.
