Health Checks

Our health checks give you an in-depth look at your health, providing a complete overview of your current well-being whilst identifying common health issues.

Each package tests several parameters to give you the information you need to take action, whether with your GP or our in-house clinicians.

How can a health check help me?

Invest in your health today.

Knowing how healthy you are, gives you the power to tailor your lifestyle and live life to the fullest. Our team will provide you with the essential information and education you need to make informed decisions about your health. While our health assessments don’t diagnose illnesses, we can highlight certain common health-related issues, and if any serious health issues are found, we can help refer you to a specialist or your NHS GP for consideration of an onward NHS referral. The more we know, the more we can work together to ensure you live healthier lives.

Before your health check, you should take some time to relax and ensure you are well-hydrated and calm, as this can help to make your veins more visible for blood tests.

Depending on the type of check you’re having, you may be required to fast for a certain period before the check. This is typically 8-12 hours and ensures that your blood test results are accurate. If you need to fast beforehand, we will inform you in advance.

You may be required to change into a hospital gown, so wearing comfortable clothing can help you feel more at ease during the check. When you arrive at our clinic, you will be greeted by our reception team, who will confirm your details.

Our health checks are fast, and we will do our best to ensure you are comfortable for your entire appointment.

You will be asked about your medical history and current concerns. You will undergo various tests such as a blood test, blood pressure check, lung function test, and others. Our trained professionals will try to help minimise pain and discomfort, so nothing should be painful.

If you have any concerns or questions during the check, don’t hesitate to speak up and ask the healthcare provider.

Once you have finished your health check, we encourage you to sit and relax until you feel ready to go. It’s a good idea to have a small snack and a drink prior to leaving.

After your samples and data have been analysed, your results will be sent to you by email. If you want to discuss your results further, you can speak to your GP. Alternatively, our experts will be on hand for you to book a follow-up appointment with one of our private GPs.

Frequently asked health check questions

A health check is a series of tests and examinations that give you an overview of your current health and how your body is functioning. You might want a health check due to a specific health concern or to improve your overall condition. Our health checks are performed by our trained staff and advisors here at Living Room Health.

We provide an extensive range of services at affordable rates. Our packages range from £59 – £295. Each package has a range of tests and examinations in order to determine your overall health. View our range of packages here.

A health check is ideal for patients that want a general health check-up. If you have a specific concern or diagnosis, it is recommended to seek advice from your GP. Our health checks are suitable for adults of all ages.

A health check is one of the best ways to invest in your health. Our health checks can quickly and accurately diagnose health conditions that you may currently be unaware of that could require medical attention.

For those worried about their current health, our health checks can provide peace of mind that their body is working as it should be.

The overall goal of our health checks is to allow you to understand your own personal health, risk factors and how to help you mitigate them.

A health check cannot reduce or eliminate your risk of illness/disease, but we can help to identify early signs of disease or other health issues, enabling early intervention and potentially improving the quality of life.

If your results show an abnormal or undesirable result, we will discuss this with you and guide you through the various options. Not all abnormalities detected in your results will need to be treated. Our team of expert clinicians will evaluate your results and discuss these with you throughout the process.
